When I moved to Valencia, I quickly realized that managing everything from a distance was challenging, especially while balancing work and personal life. Where do you begin? How do you find a good home? How do you secure a job? And how do you navigate all the administrative tasks in a language you don’t speak?
I connected with several people who had already emigrated, and their guidance was invaluable, as not all the information is in one place. When I met Hidde through our current work, we quickly discovered that we shared a passion for helping others. We found energy in supporting people through their journey.
After assisting friends with their move to Spain, we realized we could offer this support
professionally. And that’s how Keepmoving was born – a relocating service designed to
help people with their move to Spain.

When I decided to move to Valencia, I quickly discovered that building a new life abroad comes with more obstacles than you might expect. From finding a place to live, to handling paperwork and navigating the local bureaucracy, it was all much more complex and time-consuming than I had anticipated. I reached out to different professionals for help, but working with multiple separate companies often made things even more confusing and stressful.
During that time, I met Sjors. We started talking, shared our experiences of moving to Spain, and quickly realized we both felt the same: there had to be a better way to do this. What started as helping a few people in our network gradually evolved into what is now Keepmoving.
With our shared experience, a strong network of trusted local specialists, and a genuine passion for helping others feel at home, we created this service to guide you through every part of your move to Valencia, from the very first step until you truly feel at home.
